SUBJECT: FFIEC Risk Management Planning Seminars for 1997
The interagency Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) has issued the
attached press release announcing two FFIEC Risk Management Planning Seminars to be held
during 1997. The first seminar will take place in Chicago on April 24 and 25; the second, in
Washington, D.C., on September 25 and 26.
The planning seminars will provide an opportunity for senior management to discuss risk
management issues and risk management examination procedures with regulators. Appropriate
bank-wide risk management programs are essential to the safe and sound operation of financial
institutions.
All financial institutions are encouraged to send a senior staff member to one of the seminars.
