Summary: The FDIC has issued its ninth Letter to Stakeholders, an overview of the
Corporation's activities during the second quarter of 2004.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is pleased to issue its ninth Letter to
Stakeholders, which reports on our priorities and activities for the second quarter of 2004.
We continued to aggressively pursue our three major priorities during the second quarter:
stability of the industry and the insurance funds; sound policy positions, supported by
substantive research and led by legislative initiatives on deposit insurance reform; and
stewardship of the Corporation to ensure that we do our job as efficiently as possible.
